For that, they are incredibly well-paid.

But who is the Premier League’s highest earner?

Join SunSport in uncovering who in the ultimate Prem rich list.

10. Marcus Rashford, £300k-per-week

In the summer of 2023, Rashford was rewarded for his fine form the previous season with a bumper five-year contract.

Coming off the back of a 30 goal season, £300k-per-week seemed fair.

It also warded off PSG, who were desperate to add the England forward to their ranks.

Fast forward to today, United fans are grumbling about Rashford’s work rate.

9. Bernardo Silva, £300k-per-week

Perhaps the unsung hero of Man City’s fine team, Bernardo Silva isn’t under-appreciated by his club.

The Portugal midfielder is Pep Guardiola’s joint third highest earner on £15.6million-per-annum.

Better still, he has three years left on his current deal at that rate.

At 30, he won’t find a better pay day.

8. Jack Grealish, £300k-per-week

In 2021, Grealish became Britain’s most expensive footballer.

The £100million transfer fee dwarfed Paul Pogba’s £93million deal when he resigned for Man Utd.

Since then, football’s poster boy has become a huge commercial figure for the club.

However, in the past season he has struggled to feature in Pep’s first eleven.

7. Bruno Fernandes, £300k-per-week

The Portuguese divides opinion.

Some believe he doesn’t work hard enough and is first to down tools, when things aren’t going great.

However, it’s hard to disagree that he’s Man Utd’s most important player – regularly being one of the best chance creators in the game.

Fernandes is handsomely paid for it too.

6. Raheem Sterling, £325k-per-week

Maybe a reason why Sterling was frozen out of the Premier League opener against Man City.

If anyone wants to buy him before the transfer deadline, it’ll cost a hefty penny in transfer fee and salary.

Chelsea fans will argue the winger hasn’t been worth £325k-per-week.

However, his past reputation playing for Man City, Liverpool and England puts him in the big league.

5. Romelu Lukaku, £325k-per-week

Lukaku finally looks like he’ll be off the books at Chelsea.

But for now, pending a move to Napoli, the club are still paying the Belgium flop a staggering £325k-per-week.

He scored 15 goals in all competitions in 2021-2022, before he was shipped out on loan to Inter Milan and Roma in the past two seasons.

The target man has still struggled to find his form.

4. Mo Salah, £350k-per-week

If he’s earning £350k-per-week now, think how much he might get paid by the Saudis?

Regardless, Liverpool made Salah one of the country’s highest earners in 2022 with a bumper new deal.

However, there’s just one year left on that contract.

Will the Reds pay him more or expect a pay cut as he enters the twilight years of his career.

3. Casemiro, £350k-per-week

The Brazilian now looks set to stay at Old Trafford, after much wrangling about his future.

A decline in performances last season had many questioning Casemiro’s desire.

But in preseason and against Fulham in the season opener, he looked like he was back to his best.

He is United’s highest earner… for now.

2. Erling Haaland, £375k-per-week

Goals are a commodity you can buy, if you’re Man City.

Their hotshot striker Haaland is the league’s SECOND highest paid player, but not his club’s.

Roy Keane might disagree because he doesn’t do much work outside of the box.

But £375k-per-week buys you a leading goalscorer.

1. Kevin De Bruyne, £400k-per-week

While Haaland is City’s top scorer, plenty will argue he’s not their best player.

And would Haaland score as many without this man playing him in?

The top earner on our shores is De Bruyne, who earns a staggering £400k-per-week from a contract extension he signed in 2021.

However, that deal expires next summer. Now 33, it’s hard to imagine him getting any more out of City’s coffers.
